Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity It’s no secret that our community

  is growing.  Each year new residents call Charlotte County their home.  And

  with each new addition, our community faces new challenges in affordable

  housing.  Many newcomers move here to raise a family and to enjoy the

  many benefits our community.  They also play a vital role of our community,

  filling jobs in the service industry so important to our life-style.  Unfortunately,

  some of these same families face difficulties due to a combination of high

  rents and low wages.  Try as they might, their modest wages won’t allow

  them the opportunity of homeownership.

  Charlotte County Habitat for Humanity is committed to providing safe, decent

  housing for deserving families in need.  Since its formation in 1987, our

  organization has built 59 houses and plans to build 15 in the year 2003. 

  We recognize that as Charlotte County grows so must we grow with it.
